In My Absence

Hello, readers.

It's been a while since I have posted. I have been extremely busy lately helping my husband complete projects that he bid on. When the economy slowed a couple years ago, he was forced to lay-off his workers and employ me, in some instances, when a project had to be completed in a time frame agreed upon with a client. So now,  if you haven't heard, I am a girly girl who now sands, paint and finish hardwood floors. Yikes! My husband even complimented me by saying, "I might make a contractor out of you yet!"

I have also enrolled in a few bible courses offered through the Bible Broadcasting Network Institute, and currently plowing through Martin Luther's catechism. I was taught the catechism in high school but really needed a refresher course. We are also fixing up our home.....The house is over one hundred years old and needed work. Don't worry, You will still here from me my employment is not full-time.

The Good News of the death, burial and resurrection of our Saviour. This is the good news, the gospel, forever transforming and keeping those that are His.

What's Growing In You?

Ever notice the strong correlation between being filled with the Word of God and Christian maturity (i.e., wisdom to apply the knowledge, growth, manifesting fruits of the Spirit )?

Well, the reverse principle applies to immaturity. We are continually bearing fruit whether good or bad.

Let us guard  or our hearts and be filled with the Word of God. Let us continually go before our Heavenly Father confessing our sins and purifying our hearts because little sins grow up too.

Eddie Long Crowned King and Lord !

Don't You Love When God reveals his enemies? I just finished posting about T.D. Jakes and the debacle at the Elephant Room 2; when I was informed of a video of one of T.D. Jakes spiritual sons being crowned king.

I actually laughed when I saw the video........this is lunacy!  Where do I even begin.  

This serious! But behind it all I saw God. While T.D. Jakes was positioning himself to deceive many more, God allowed the pride of what these people want and stand for to be revealed.

The Elephant Room 2 (ER2) controversy has taken a more sinister turn than expected. I actually had hoped that there would be a clear line drawn after the round table meeting but this is not the case. We knew that T.D. Jakes was NOT preaching a pure gospel. For those of us who have heard Jakes speak, and read the transcript from ER2, you realize that Jakes had hoodwinked (shucked and jived) his way into a broader community. It is no secret that unemployment is high in the African-American community (those that largely support his so-called-ministry), and therefore he needs to continue fleecing because he is not satisfied with the wealth he has already acquired; he wants more money and adoring power!

T.D. Jakes is a master of fast and slick seductive language. He, in the past, and on his current website, deny the essential Christian doctrine of the Trinity.  His view is one God playing three different roles or manifestations.  He believes in a god that appears in three different "manifestations." He now claims to hold views of a triune God Head, but is not 'comfortable using the word persons but manifestations.'

 No one called Jakes on this statement that actually reiterates what he has said in the past. No effort was made to implore Jakes to qualify this statement in determining if he had changed is stance on the trinity, and will change is false teachings of the prosperity gospel that he is famous for–––hence the backlash.

James McDonald and Bryan Loritts are now trying to dismiss Christians who criticize them for the soft handling of Jakes at the round table by labeling them as jealous racist wannabees.

Loritts was invited at the ER2 round table at the last minute in place of Voddie Baucham whom declined the invite.  Loritts in this video has demonstrated outright detestable carnal behavior by implying that some of the detractors really want to be in the inner white circle. What does he really mean? He is implying here that a lot of the people are like field slaves trying to serve in the masters house, but they are not good enough (e.g. Theodore Huskstable). Now, in the future, others will be called racist for not embracing Jakes.



I know that there is racism(I live in Savannah) but we know that the world is under the influence of the wicked one. Christians are not of this this world. Correct? The issue is not a racial one but an issue of truth. I do not think that McDonald and Driscoll demonstrated maturity as leaders neither did they any research because they would have been prepared. But this is just my opinion. All Have Sinned Realized

The new year started with a bang (so to speak). My daughter Gabby turned three years old on the Second of January, and did she have a surprise for me. She started telling tales. Did I say tales? I meant lies.

A few weeks ago, I went to the store and upon returning home, I noticed ice pop stains all over the area rug in Gabby's room. I immediately asked her why she ate ice pops on her rug when she was told not to. She replied by saying, "Dad, dad why did you eat ice pop on my rug and caused this mess. Dad you did it."

I guess we were in disbelief because we allowed her to go on for at least two minutes adding to the fiction she had created. I finally addressed her by looking into her eyes and asked, "Gabby did you do this?" and she sheepishly responded, "Yes."

My little girl is a sinner! Sigh........sigh. My old nature is her current nature. More and more apparent are our need for salvation realized.

So................tell me again why we are still attracted to a watered down gospel in self-help books again?
